Objectives

The objectives of this guide are threefold:

• Provide a clear, concise response to the main problems encountered by practitioners responsible for the conservation of works that feature technological components;

• Offer methodological and resource avenues and a methodology founded on the ethical rules of conservation to assure preservation of works containing technological components;

• Provide tools that help identify problems and potential solutions associated with works containing technological components.
